Southern Comfort Kennels looks after all types & sizes of Dogs & Cats!

Medium to Large dogs

Our suites are secure with all day indoor/outdoor living. The outside area has a rural view and there is plenty of activity going on with staff and other guests checking in and out.

There are also double and triple rooms with 2 or 3 beds for families or for those who prefer to socialize with others.

"In our outdoor run we have plenty of room and socialization with our friends next door through the wire mesh. This has an extended roof for shade if it gets too warm in the sun and we always have plenty of fresh water on hand".

"There is plenty of time for a stroll inside to a comfortable bed and a little more privacy for a snooze. We talk to friendly, caring staff who are always looking after us"

"At night our doors are shut and we are indoors for a safe and secure night's sleep".

"Twice a day we play and exercise in large fenced grass areas either in a group with our friends or individually".

Small Dogs

We have our own area especially designed for small social dogs. Inside the complex has individual single or double suites which have a comfortable bed and always a fresh supply of water.

"Most of the day (weather permitting) we are out in our communal grassed play area where we can run around and play with our friends or just laze in the covered area in the shade on hammock beds and watch the comings and goings in the kennels - the staff love us - it's great!"

Mini Suite

Our mini suite is a smaller area with just 4 individual and 2 double kennels which opens through ranch slider doors onto an outside area adjoining the small dog area with a mesh surround. This is ideal for very small dogs or those getting on in age who like to take it easy.

Food

The dogs love eating 'Proplan Chicken & Rice' high performance biscuits. We can also cater for your dog's special diet if you would like to provide it.

The Cattery

Our feline friends are spoilt with a large indoor/outdoor enclosed area to play and explore with climbing trees, tunnels and toys. In the evenings they are retired to their own individual room for sleeping and eating their evening meal. Double rooms are also available for cat families.

"When playtime is over there is plenty of room for us to laze about in the sun outside or snuggle up inside. The staff are always very friendly to us and give us plenty of cuddles and a brush if we need it - its purrfect"

Food

We feed "Proplan Salmon & Rice" which is very nourishing and palatable for most cats. If your cat has special food we will be happy to feed what you supply.

Terms and Conditions

In the event of your pet requiring any veterinary attention during your absence, we will make every effort to phone you or your emergency contact number (supplied by you) to explain what is needed.

If we cannot make contact we must reserve the right to arrange such attention and any fees will be met by yourself, the pet owner.

Due to heavy demand for accommodation, please appreciate that we must charge you for the days you have booked even if you collect your pet before the due date.

Your pet must be picked up by 5.00pm as the kennels cannot be disturbed after being settled for the night.

Your pets are welcome to bring their own bedding/toys but you must appreciate we cannot take responsibility for these items.

Whilst every care and attention is dedicated to all pets in our care we cannot accept any responsibility for loss or illness for any reason.

Fees per day

• Cats $12.00
• Small dogs $24.50
• Medium/Large dogs $28.50
• Extra Large dogs $30.50

Note - an additional charge of $2.00 per day will be payable for bitches in season and unneutered dogs.
